IIM CALL = 70% in SSC + 70% in HS + 90% in CAT
The call from Indian Institute Of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) will not be for all. IIMA’s percentile has come down from 99.3% to 99% this year. But they also have included other criteria. If you need a call from IIMA what you need to have as eligibility is 70% in SSC + 70% in HS +90% in CAT. All other formalities and admission procedure remains same. The criteria apply only to candidates from general stream.
In short you need to dig up your school results. This year IIMA has set the clear cut percentage for the call. This would really be a worry call fro those who couldn’t score well in SSC or HS. But parents need to be more alarming in pumping their child for good career.
IIM- Bangalore (IIMB) has always put emphasis on academic records but till date no clear cut off has been set. IIM – Kozhikode put more emphasis on CAT results. IIM-Lucknow always gives priority on work experience. Different IIMs have their own ways of short listing.

Thats all right, but one fact really bothers me, that most people don’t really know why they want to do an MBA except for the charm of a fat salary. Is it fair ?
