Indian railway is the life line of the country where people start their day with travelling in the local train and at night they reached home by that train only. But there are many problem that always face by the passangers like standing in the long queue for the ticket,wasting of time etc.To keeps these fact in mind Indian Railway ministry is developing an e-commerce platform to sell tickets and provide other commercial services. The move is aimed at augmenting e-ticketing services.
At present Railways’ subsidiary Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) provides e-ticketing services and various complaints have been received regarding non-availability of reserved tickets.
Indian Railways are taking many steps towards increasing the ease of ticketing in general and e ticketing also by Constant innovation, process improvements and use of contemporary technology. I think e-commerce platforgm will prove good for the tourism also.The Ministry of Railways has recently taken several measures in this direction, which include liberalized norms such as acceptance of more number of ID-proofs and extension of e-Booking facility 24X7.
This is a good development by Indian Railway to promote the better facility of the passenger.What do myou think about this?
