Fashion World not behind in putting forward its hand for HAITI

The tragedy in Haiti has affected a lot and many have given money for relief. Diane von Furstenberg, President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America has come up with an idea to send a message and create a channel for funding from fashion as an industry.

In response to the devastating January 12 earthquake in Haiti, the fashion industry has pulled together to organize a nation-wide effort to raise amount for the victims of the natural disaster. A  “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt priced at $25 will go on sale from February 12 at retailers across the country with proceeds benefitting the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, which is raising funds for immediate, high-impact relief and long-term recovery efforts to help all those who are  in need of assistance.

Even supermodel Naomi Campbell knocked on the doors of the fashion industry to do its part to aid relief efforts in Haiti  and is getting full cooperation. An all-star fashion show will take place on Feb. 12 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park that will include the likes of Christy Turlington; Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York; celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, who will put together.

I would suggest everybody to take part in this  and if you are looking where and how you can donate, here is the list of resources : Resources to Donate for helpless and Locate people
